Apivar® 2.0 is the updated formulation of Apivar, specifically redesigned with an improved delivery system to optimize how amitraz is released within the hive when used according to label instructions.

Unlike the previous formulation, Apivar 2.0 uses optimized carrier materials to provide a more efficient release of the active ingredient, particularly during the early weeks of treatment, without increasing dosage. This update reflects ongoing development in amitraz-based mite treatment technology.

Updated Formulation & Delivery System

The previous version of Apivar contained 3.33% amitraz, while Apivar® 2.0 contains 3.00% amitraz. This adjustment does not indicate reduced effectiveness. Instead, the formulation was redesigned so that amitraz is released more efficiently within the hive.

By refining the non-active carrier components, Apivar 2.0 is designed to improve delivery performance, especially during the initial treatment period. This same formulation approach is also used in Amiflex®, demonstrating continued innovation in mite treatment formulations.
