Hive Gate® Entrance System

The Hive Gate is an innovative hive entrance designed to reduce stress on bees and improve colony efficiency. It functions as a tunnel-style entrance, with the opening positioned inside the hive at the bottom of the frames, just below the bee cluster.

By relocating the entrance closer to the cluster, the Hive Gate:

Reduces stress on bees

Helps prevent robbing

Conserves colony energy

Saves hive resources

Installation

The Hive Gate Plate is used to install the Hive Gate by blocking the remaining portion of the hive entrance. You may also create your own plate using a block of wood similar to a traditional wooden entrance reducer.

The Hive Gate Plate features a double-sided metal design:

One side supports a single Hive Gate for smaller hives

The other side supports two Hive Gates for larger colonies
